How it works

The parser follows RFC 4180: fields may be wrapped in double quotes, a quote inside a quoted field is written as two quotes (""), and quoted fields may contain delimiters and line breaks. With a header row, each record becomes an object keyed by column name; without one, each record is an array.

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert a semicolon-separated file?

Choose Semicolon from the delimiter menu, or leave it on auto-detect.

Why are my numbers still strings?

Turn on 'Convert numbers'. Values like 007 or 1e5 are converted too, so disable it if you need to keep leading zeros.

Is my data sent to a server?

No. The conversion runs locally in your browser.
