IPv4 Address Converter (Dotted, Integer, Hex, Binary)

Enter an IPv4 address in dotted form, as a 32-bit integer, or as hex (0xC0A80101) and see every representation.

How it works

An IPv4 address is a 32-bit number. The dotted form writes each of its four bytes in decimal, so 192.168.1.1 equals 192 x 224 + 168 x 216 + 1 x 28 + 1 = 3232235777. Databases often store addresses as integers because they sort and compare efficiently, and some tools accept the integer or hex form directly in URLs.
