JSON to CSV Converter

Paste a JSON array of objects and get CSV with a header row. Fields containing commas, quotes or newlines are quoted correctly.

How it works

The header row is the union of all keys found across the objects, in order of first appearance, so objects with missing keys simply leave those cells empty. Values containing the delimiter, a double quote or a line break are wrapped in quotes with inner quotes doubled (RFC 4180). Nested objects and arrays are written as JSON text inside the cell.

Frequently asked questions

What JSON shape does it accept?

An array of objects, such as [{...},{...}]. A single object is treated as a one-row table.

What happens to nested data?

Nested objects and arrays are converted to compact JSON strings in a single cell. Flatten the data first if you need separate columns.

Can I open the result in Excel?

Yes. Save the output as a .csv file; use the semicolon delimiter if your regional Excel settings expect it.
